This month we look at gratitude. While this is a natural and well-used thing to talk about in November, gratitude is something we need to be talking about all the time. There are many simple and wonderful reasons to be thankful in November.
We are thankful for freedom (Children’s Class), we are thankful that we have enough to eat (and let’s not forget kids in places that don’t have what we have). Teaching children to be humble in their gratitude, generous and kind, these are the crucial character
traits we are aiming to train this November.
IDEA 1
Did anyone have something good happen to them today? Think about it, it’s a hard question because people don’t usually ask us but who can tell me something good that happened today?
IDEA 2
Ask the kid what country we live in. That’s right, you’ve got it Instructor – It’s Canada. Can anyone tell me why it’s great to be a Canadian kid? (beautiful places, wonderful people, warm homes, enough food, safety, etc.
LET’S BE THANKFUL FOR THE LITTLE THINGS, FOR ONE DAY WE MAY REALIZE THEY WERE THE BIG THINGS.
WE ARE LUCKY TO LIVE IN A COUNTRY THAT IS FREE. CANADA IS AN AWESOME COUNTRY WHERE YOU CAN GROW UP TO BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE.
“IT’S NOT HAPPY PEOPLE WHO ARE THANKFUL; IT’S THANKFUL PEOPLE WHO ARE HAPPY.
