Having a “GROWTH MINDSET” means always working towards improving yourself, and that can never happen without CHALLENGING yourself. The difficult part of the GROWTH MINDSET and CHALLENGING yourself is finding the right balance between challenge and boredom. It’s great to practice something until it becomes mind- numbingly easy, but then you need to
move on and CHALLENGE yourself more. Many people prefer to stay within the safety of what they know. Some will purposely not attempt something for fear of looking silly or uncoordinated. The people that garner the MOST respect are those people willing to try
no matter what they look like.
PHYSICAL CHALLENGE
For the entire month there are two different types of challenges, something for everyone. You can choose a physical challenge, mental challenge, or both. You can also create your own challenge – perhaps something you have put off for some time now, like a morning stretch routine.
Beginner: 10 push-ups or 10 squats every day this month! You can do them all at once or spread them out throughout the day!
Intermediate: 25 push-ups or 25 squats per day this month! That’s 775 TOTAL if you do it every day!
Advanced: 10 push-ups or 10 squats every hour of the work or school day. This should be something like 80 per day.
MENTAL CHALLENGE
Box Breathing for 2 minutes every single
day! Breathe in for a count of 4, hold full for a count of 4, exhale for a count of 4, and hold empty for a count of 4. Take a regular breath, and repeat 2-4 more times. Do this whenever you are anxious or worried about something
